We are looking for motivated, career-oriented, Lab Technician to join the True West Beef team. The Lab Tech will share responsibility for successful operation of a brand-new, multi-faceted, wastewater treatment operation. This position will be responsible for collecting samples, performing lab analysis, entering data, tracking performance, managing inventory, making basic process adjustments, and helping maintain basic functions of the wastewater treatment plant. This is a dynamic role with strong growth potential. We are looking for self-starters capable of working with or without direct supervision. Training is available for candidates that meet the basic requirement and are eager to learn.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Perform daily sample collection, lab analysis, and mathematical calculations aligned with technical procedures and approved scientific methods.
• Collect, collate, record, evaluate and interpret technical data to support plant operations and meet regulatory compliance.
• Provide clear and concise communication and system updates to co-workers and management team.
• Demonstrate sound judgement and troubleshooting skills.
• Maintain documentation in an audit-ready state through persistence and attention to detail.
• Follow written and verbal instruction. Comply with company policies and procedures including all related safe work practices.
• Develop positive working relationships with co-workers and other department personnel to insure an efficient, effective, and collaborative operation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Valid Idaho driver’s license and dependable transportation.
•  Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
•  Prepared to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Laboratory or wastewater related experience or certifications preferred.
